Jane, Fred and the film star.
Jane’s friend is called Fred. Jane and Fred live in the flats opposite the cinema in Fish Market Square. Jane lives on the fifth floor and Fred’s family live on the ninth floor. Jane and Fred always go to the cinema on Saturday afternoon

Last Saturday, Jane jumped in the lift and ran to Fred’s flat.

“How exciting!” she said to Fred. “Vicky Fan’s new film is at the cinema this afternoon! And this evening, we can go and see her outside the cinema!”

Vicky Fan was very famous. She was their favourite film star. That afternoon many people from the town stood and waited outside the cinema to see Vicky and to take photos of her. Jane and Fred tried to get in front of all the people but it was too difficult.
