My husband and I spent two years looking for the right place to live. We didn't look seriously to begin with, but then I got pregnant and we had to find somewhere fast We saw five houses every weekend for four months, but didn’t like any of them. One day, we were driving home from another appointment when we suddenly saw it - the house of our dreams! And, incredibly, it was for sale. We knocked at the door and offered the price they were asking for it immediately.

I came here two years ago because of the war in my country. It was dangerous to live there. Of course, there is crime here - someone stole my bike once -but it’s not dangerous.
People here complain about the health service, but for me it has been great. I was injured in the war and when 1 came here. I had treatment. The doctors were kind and efficient, and it was free. People here are polite, but its difficult to really know them. In ray country, our home was always open. There were always lots of friends and family sharing food, talking, laughing. 1 really miss that. My friends here are other foreigners. We play football in the park every Sunday.
I’ve found cleaning and building work here. It’s not what 1 want to do, but wages are OK, so I can support my family. One day, I hope I'll go back home and do a more important job. When 1 go, I would also like to take the climate with me! 1 know it rains a lol here, but back home, its loo hot and there’s not enough water.
