The Teacher's Resource Book provides additional photocopiable worksheets for those students following the Super Minds Starter level. Each worksheet has accompanying teacher’s notes with suggestions for exploitation in the classroom, together with suggested optional follow-up activities.
What activity types do the worksheets provide?
The worksheets provide a range of fun pre-reading puzzles and activities, including matching puzzles, colouring puzzles, spot the difference, jigsaw activities, matching pairs, odd one out and other observation activities. There are also board games and games such as Bingo. All activities are designed to be used without an audio accompaniment. Most of the worksheets are wordless. However, from Unit 5, some simple word labels of the key vocabulary items are included, where appropriate, on the first worksheet for each unit. This mirrors the introduction to text labels in the Workbook and is intended for text recognition only rather than for true reading.
