WHAT IS AN EARTHQUAKE?
Earthquakes are a shock of the Earth's surface. There are about a million earthquakes on Earth every year. They normally last for about one minute, but they are terribly destructive.
80% of the world's earthquakes are in the Pacific Ocean near Japan in a place called the 'Ring of Fire’.
Scientists use a seismograph to have information about an earthquake. With the seismograph they know how serious the earthquake Is.
