The minotaur.
Poseidon's present.
A long time ago. a young nun called Minos became the King of Crete. He knew that the god of the sea, Poseidon, had helped other kings before, so he went to ask Poseidon for help.
Poseidon.’ he said, 'I want to give the gods a present so that they will help me to be a good king.’

You're a good and kind man, Minos, so I'll help you. said Poseidon. I'll give you one of my best bulls to give to the gods. They will be pleased with that.’ Immediately, a beautiful white bull came running out of the sea. It was so perfect that King Minos did not want to kill it so he killed another bull instead and gave it as a present to the gods. Poseidon knew what had happened and became very angry.

The minotaur.
‘A horrible monster will come from this hull.' Poseidon said to King Minos, 'and there will lie trouble all through your country.
Poseidon was right. A horrible monster called the minotaur came from the bull. The minotaur was lull' man and half bull. It killed people and ran through the country, terrifying everyone.
