CASES OF PRONOUNS.
This subject is a little bit big and because of that this is divided into 3 lessons. There are 6 cases in Russian language and it probably can be complicated but it has the logic and if you decline 100—150 words by cases you will be able to get confident with it. There are some exceptions and words which one must just remember. We’ll begin from pronouns in this lesson and in the next lessons we’ll continue by nouns and adjectives. But first of all let’s consider what each case means:

NOMINATIVE shows an initial form of a word and answers the questions «Who?» and «What?». Hint phrase: «this is., (a word in nominative)..»

GENITIVE Analogically to the preposition «of» and «for» and used after designation of number of an object. For example «The thing of ...", «100 things». Hint phrase: «I don’t have., (a word in genitive)..».

DATIVE Designates giving to an object and also used after the preposition «К, КО». For example «To give to...», «Идти к (to go to)...)». Hint phrase: «I give to., (a word in dative)..».
