Breakfast around the world.
Most people agree that it is important to eat breakfast in the morning. But breakfast is different all over the world. In Japan, for example, many people have a bowl of hot (1) sauce / soup for breakfast, but in Australia most people eat cold (2) cereal/ dessert with milk. Milk is used to make (3) omelette/ yogurt, which lots of Americans eat in the morning. (4) Curry/ Coffee is a very popular breakfast drink, and in many countries people eat toast, which is (5) grilled / fried bread, with butter. In some European countries such as Germany and Sweden, people eat cold meats such as (6) ham /burger with their bread, or sometimes cheese, but in the UK people prefer something sweet such as (7) jam/juice on their toast at breakfast time. In countries where people cook in the morning, (8) cakes/eggs are very popular, and lots of people eat them with sausages.
